The tandem cell architecture, a multilayer structure equivalent to two OPVs in series, offers a number of advantages. Because the two cells are in series, the Voc is increased to the sum of the Voc of individual cells. However, low mobility of the charge carriers in the polymer-fullerene composites, increases internal resistance of the device, which reduce both the Jsc and FF. In this work, we fabricated tandem type OPVs add to processing additive such a diol series into the active layers of two cells. Consequently, the PCE was increased due to the increase of the Jsc through improvement of the charge carrier mobility. |
