Synthesis and electrophoretic characterisitcs of black pigment particle coated with poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) |
초록 |
Typical electrophoretic medium for the E-paper application is composed of white and black particles having charges of an opposite polarity, and in this study, we adopted a black pigment (black 444) as a core material and coated the core material with styrene and acrylonitrile via an in-situ polymerization to prevent pigment aggregation. Mobility and particle size of the particles were examined using a zeta potential analyzer. SEM images were taken to study its morphology and density was measured by a pycnometer. Finally, a cell test using the ITO glass was performed together with TiO2 white particle to confirm how particles work when an electronic field is applied. |
