Reaction medium engineering for an efficient kinetic resolution of racemic styrene oxide at high concentration |
초록 |
The theoretical yield of kinetic resolution cannot exceed 50%. Despite this drawback, kinetic resolution processes are still one of the major methods for the industrial production of chiral compounds. In order to enhance the efficiency of kinetic resolution of racemic styrene oxide by epoxide hydrolase, the effects of addition of detergent and glycerol were investigated. Chiral styrene oxide with 100 %ee could be prepared from high initial concentration of racemic styrene oxide at the optimized concentrations of surfactant and glycerol.
