Sulfur-containing alicylic polyurethane was developed for high refractive index and high thermooptic effect. Sulfur-polymers have aimed at high refractive index for various applications such as lenses, anti-reflective films, coatings, waveguides inks and ect. Large thermo-optic effect provides operational merit of thermal devices such as optical switch and optical filter. Sulfur-containing polyurethane was prepared through UV- and thermal polymerization. High thermooptic effect was achieved from urethane segment. The refractive index was highlighted with 1,3-dithiolane units allowing of a high sulfur content. |
