제목 Synthesis of Flame Retardants Based on Cyclotriphosphazene
초록 Halogen-based materials are among the widely applied flame retardants, in particular for polymers that are used in composite organic matrices. However, on burning they generally evolve toxic and corrosive gases and large amount of smoke. Hence the proven efficiency of these halogen-containing products has to be balanced against the formation of obscuring, noxious, and corrosive fumes. Besides these environmental considerations, a possible intensification of fire specifications will profoundly influence the continued use of existing halogenated formulations. Phosphazenes are rich both in phosphorous and nitrogen which makes them attractive as candidates for flame retardant additives. In this research, we prepared some thermally stable aryl-substituted cyclotriphosphazenes and cyclotriphosphazene polymers, and studied them as potential flame retardant additives for ABS resin. Hexakis(phenylamino)cyclotriphosphazene and tris(o-phenylenediamino)cyclotriphosphazene were synthesized by reaction of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene with aniline and 1,2-phenylenediamine respectively. And cyclotriphosphazene polymer were synthesized by reaction of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene with aniline and 1,4-phenylenediamine. The specimen were made from the above materials and ABS resin, and UL94 test and LOI test were conducted. The results showed that these materials could be used as flame retardants.
