Potentiometric urea biosensor based on carbon nanotube and polyion complex |

A simple enzyme immobilization onto a carbon nanotube (CNT) film was developed based on a filtration method. The CNT film was prepared by a filtration of CNT suspension. Urease enzyme solution was poured onto the CNT film to introduce enzymes into its void space. The electrode surface was coated via a polyion complex (PIC) membrane. The simply integrated CNT/Urease/PIC electrode was characterized for the application to urea biosensor. The CNT-modified electrode showed a pH-sensitivity. Potentiometric response was measured as a function of urea concentration. |
