Polymersomes have been designed in response to stimuli such as pH, temperature, and redox for biomedical applications. Especially, pH sensitive polymersome have been developed for water soluble biomedically active materials delivery to relatively lower pH region. However, these polymersomes have been prepared from nondegradable polymers and fabricated using organic solvents. Biomedical applications require that nanoparticle be biodegradable. And, the drawback of any organic solvent based technique is that residual organic solvent can induce biological toxicity and reduce the colloidal stability. Herein we report synthesis of biodegradable and pH sensitive poly(β-amino ester) based comb-like copolymer, control of their pH sensitivity and fabrication of polymersomes by just adjusting pH of the polymer solution without any organic solvents. After preparation, polymersomes were observed by TEM. |
