제목 Development of High Performance and Efficiency Silicone Encapsulants and Lens for LED(Light Emitting Diode)
초록 The last LED encapsulant materials for LEDs are COP, Acryl resin, Polycarbonate and epoxy resin etc. But they have some weak-point such as crack, yellowing, strength deterioration caused by getting higher luminance. In these reasons there is a strong need for the LED encapsulant materials comprised by silicone. When applied as LED encapsulant, silicone materials that have high refractive index increase light extraction.  Also silicones can be created with various ranges of refractive indices to optimize the optical characteristics. And their chemical and physical stabilities make them powerful material for high brightness LEDs. We formulate and test various reliability properties such as light characteristic, thermal shock, MSL, gas barrier property and obtain good result.
