제목 Fabrication of disordered porous structures using smectic liquid crystals by solvent-assisted process
초록 Disordered porous structures have been interested in optical applications due to physical and optical phenomena. Here, we have created disordered porous structures using smectic liquid crystals (LCs) by solvent-assisted process. We have observed deformation from LC-layered structures of toric focal conic domains (TFCDs) which have ordered structures to micron-scale pores which have disordered structures. These results were analyzed by polarized optical microscopy (POM), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GIXD) methods. Our results may lead to further fabrication of disordered porous structures using LCs and various applications in the future.
