The most successful device structure for high performance OPVs is based on the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) structure consisting of an interpenetrating network of D-π-A copolymer as electron donor and PCBM as acceptor materials. The band gap and energy level of these conjugated polymers can be easily tuned by selecting different electron-rich and electron-deficient units. For introducing the good solubility and thermal stability of perfluorinated aromatic units, we designed and synthesized a series of various perfluorinated aromatic units containg thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione (TPD)-based polymer. Here, synthesis and characterization of D-π-A copolymer perfluorinated TPD acceptor for polymer solar cells will be described. |
