제목 BMP-2 Concentration Effect on Bone Regeneration: In vitro and In vivo Studies Using PLGA Beads with Different BMP-2 Release Pattern
초록 The immobilization of bioactive molecules (e.g., growth factor) onto scaffolds is considered as an essential requirement for enhanced tissue regeneration. In recent, the regulation of release rate of the bioactive molecules from matrices has been also gained increasing interest for more sophisticated target tissue/organ regeneration. In this study, we developed porous beads with different surface pore size (micro-sized, nano-sized, and dense) which may control the release pattern of bioactive molecules immobilized in the beads by the different permeation rate of bioactive molecules through the surface pores. Their morphology, BMP-2 release profile, osteogenic differentiation behavior (in vitro); and bone regeneration potential (in vivo) were compared.
