Surface Modification on Porous Materials for Efficient Removal of Harmful Gas Released from Rubber |
초록 |
Harmful gases such as VOCs, formaldehyde, and amine derivatives have caused sick-house syndrome. The gases can be emitted from rubbers. We analyzed harmful gases of rubbers(EPDM, SBR, and NR) on different temperatures and modified various adsorbents such as active carbon, zeolite, and clay mineral with acid and/or metal oxides. The harmful gases composed of toluene, carbon sulfide, and amine compounds. The carbon and zeolites showed high removal efficiency over 90%. The removal efficiency is more correlated adsorbent composition compared to their surface areas. |
