A novel Microbial assisted biosynthesis of nanoparticles, have been used as an alternative to conventional chemical techniques for synthesizing silver nanoparticles. In the present study, silver nanoparticles have been synthesized by exposure of the fungal secretion to aqueous Ag+ ions resulted in the reduction of the metal ions and formation of silver nanoparticles. Resultant nanoparticles were characterized by UV–vis spectrophotometry, TEM, XRD and FTIR. TEM studies showed the size of the silver nanoparticles to be in the range of 11-50 nm. The synthesized nanoparticles could efficiently inhibit various pathogenic organisms like E.coli, L.monocytogenes, P.mirabilis and P.aeruginosa strains. |
