제목 A Study on the Shape Memory Properties of Aqueous Polyurethanes
초록 Aqueous polyurethanes(PU) dispersions offer the significant advantage of imparting the high performance properties of PU to a myriad of application aera while eliminating the emission on of organic solvent into the atmosphere.
The PU prepared in the experiments showed remarkable shape memony effect, the basic properties pertinent to the effect were also investigated. The effects of the type of polyol, molecular weight of polyol, and NCO/OH ratio on the particle size and viscosity of emulsion, together with the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of the emulsion cast film were determined.
The result of DSC showed that the glass transition temperature of the soft segment in polyuretane slightly increased as the NCO/OH ratio was changed from 1 to 1.026, but decreased at 1.03. In thermomechanical cycling test, as the NCO/OH ratio was changed from 1 to 1.026, the residual stress strain was decreased, the stress at maximun strain was maintained and the recovery stress measured at reheating step was increased. However, the enancement of shape memory properties was not found at NCO/OH=1.03.
