Carbon dioxide fixation and biomass production by medium optimization using photoautotrophic microalgae in bubble column photobioreators |
초록 |
In situ carbon dioxide mitigation at major point sources such as thermal power plants is one of the effective and efficient ways of alleviating the global warming problem. A series of statistical optimization of culture mediumwas performed only for Scenedesmus producto-capitatus using fractional factorial design (FFD) and central composite design (CCD). Then growth kinetics and measurement of CO2 uptake rate of S. producto-capitatus under two types of CO2 gases were investigated: pure CO2 gas from a commercially-available source and flue gas from combustion of kerosene. The CO2 concentration was also varied among air and 5% or 10% CO2-enriched air. |
