제목 Phase separation investigation for PVDF membrane formation
초록 PVDF membranes were successfully fabricated from ternary system of polymer, diluent and solvent. Thermally induce phase separation(TIPS) and nonsolvent induced phase separation(NIPS) mechanisms were investigated for the interpretation of structure formation. Dibutylphthalate(DBP) and Dimetylphthalate(DMP) were used as diluents and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) were used as a solvent for PVDF. Combination of diluent and solvent formed the unique structures of the membrane which were caused by different phase separation mechanisms depending on the relative composition of diluent and solvent. Solid-liquid(S-L) phase separation was induced for PVDF/DBP system and liquid-liqiud(L-L) phase separation was induced for PVDF/DMP system via TIPS.
