Preparation and 3D Microfabrication of Photopatternable Cadmium-free Quantum Dots |

In this presentation we will introduce the first case of photopatternable cadmium-free quantum dots (QD). We have synthesized a ligand with bithiolane group at one terminal and a vinyl group at the other end. This ligand was used for functionalization of In(Zn)P@ZnS QDs. The resulting QDs were optically characterized to confirm successful functionalization as well as their optical properties. The functionalization did not show any effect on the optical properties of the QDs. The ene-functionalized QDs were then incorporated into a photopatternable formulation by mixing it with a photoresist. This photoresist was used to fabricate QD incorporated microstructures. Uniform incorporation of QDs were confirmed by confocal microscopy. |
