제목 Morphological, Mechanical and Rheological Properties of ABS/PC blends with PCL as a Compatibilizer
초록 Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and polycarbonate (PC) blends with compatibilizer were prepared by melt mixing in a twin-screw extruder. Polycarprolactone (PCL) was used as a compatibilizer in the ABS/PC blends. The morphological, mechanical and rheological properties were greater for the ABS/PC (70/30 wt%) blends with 0.5 phr PCL than for ABS/PC (70/30 wt%) blends 1, 3, 5 phr PCL, respectively. From the results of the morphological and mechanical properties, drop let size of ABS/PC blends was deceased and mechanical strength were improved with addition of the 0.5 phr PCL. From the results of rheological properties measured by advanced rheometric expansion system, storage modulus and complex viscosity of ABS/PC (70/30 wt%) blend increased with addition of the 0.5 phr PCL. From the above result, it suggested that the PCL is an effective compatibilizer in the ABS/PC blends.
