CdSeS quantum dotsexhibit nearly no X-ray luminescence but have intense photoluminescence, whileOleic acid or linoleic acid coated LaF3:Ce nanoparticles exhibitX-ray or gamma ray luminescence. LaF3:Ce nanoparticles are attributedto resonance energy transfer from LaF3:Ce to CdSeS quantum dots inthe nanocompisites. First of all, We studied CdSeS quantumdots and LaF3:Cenanoparticles on the measurement of photoluminescence (emission, excitation)and UV-VIS (absorption). The visual display of emission colors varied withsynthesis time of the CdSeS quantumdots. Sequently, In the XRD pattern of LaF3:Cenanoparticles coated with oleic acid and linoleic acid, the peak positions andintensities agreed well with the data reported for pure hexagonal LaF3:Ceparticles. And then, We lay down theoptimized condition variables, such as temperature, synthesis time andsurfactant, for nanocomposite of CdSeS and LaF3:Ce. Additionally, inorder to improve the resonance energy transfer from LaF3:Ce to CdSeSquantum dots in the nanocomposites, we tried to change the concentration ofPMMA and the weight ratio of LaF3:Ce, CdSeS and PMMA in the mixednanocompisites. As a result, scintillators for different emission colors willbe developed in the future. |
