Evaluation of estrogenicity of octyl glucoside synthesized from D-glucoside as a non-Endocrine Disruptive Surfactant |
초록 |
The alkylphenol ethoxylates and the linear alkylbenzene sulfonates have been used as major surfactants.Nonylphenol has and estrogenic activity based on its proliferation induction and an up-regulation of the progesterone receptor human estrogen-sensitive breast tumor cell.Alkylglucosides present excellent properties of surfactant with biodegradability and low toxicity.Therefore, they have concerning as alternative surfactants to the alkyl phenols recently.We ecaluated the estrogenicity of octyl glucosides compared with that of nonylphenol.They synthesized by direct glucosidation on zeolite catalysts.The characteristics of proliferation of estrogen-sensitive cells between octyl glucosides and nonylphenol were investigated to compare their endocrine disruption effect.Its estrogenicity was estimated using E-assay method to confirm the possibility as non-endocrine disruptive surfactant.The octyl glucosides represented extremely lower estrogenic cell proliferation compared with nonylphenol. |
