초록 A microfiltration(MF)-powdered activated carbon(PAC) experimental study with synthetic organic carbon containing 37.5 mg/L metsulfuron-methyl (MM) was carried out to choose membranes and operating condistions. The crossflow velocity and the pore size of membrane used in these experimental were 7.8 m/s and 0.2 μm. The increase of the PAC concentration resulted in the increase of gel layer thickness or increase in the gel layer resistance. The taller the tube diameter applied, the lower is the permeate flux and mixing intensity. The permeate flux is lowered because of increase of the gel layer to mass transfer leading to reduction in the overall driving force for filtration. The effects of operational parameters such as membrane pressure, PAC concentration, mixing intensity on steady-state permeate flux were significant. The correct choice of optimum conditions is very important to obtain high quality effluent in a cost effective manner.
