제목 Fabrication and Characterization of dual pH-responsive hydrogel/graphene oxide (GO) composites
초록 Hydrogels have been applied in various fields due to its biocompatibility and flexibility. In this study, we introduce a dual pH-sensitive hydrogel which can change its swelling properties in different environmental conditions. Graphene oxide (GO) was added in poly(2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid) (PAMPSA) to fabricate the dual pH-sensitive hydrogel. Test showed that the swelling behavior of GO/PAMPSA composite hydrogel differs from pure PAMPSA hydrogel. In addition, GO/PAMPSA composite hydrogel has both properties: the ability to repair damage of PAMPSA hydrogel and improved mechanical strength by GO sheet. Damaged PAMPSA hydrogel can be self-healed at around Tg temperature. Using this characteristic, two thin films of PAMPSA hydrogel and GO/PAMPSA composite hydrogel were attached to each other and formed a bi-layer hydrogel. The layers have different swelling ratios among specific pH range, and it causes bending behavior of the hydrogel.
