제목 | Photochromic behaviors of the polymers containing spiropyran dye and chalcone moiety |
초록 | Spiropyran dyes exhibit photochromism due to the reversible isomerization between the spiropyran dyes and merocyanine forms. Most of the research was focus on the potential applications of spiropyran - merocyanine systems in optical memories and switches. We have invastigated the stability of the colorization phenomenon in this dye system using the photocrosslink or the photopolymerization in the polymer matrix. The polymer system contains the three components that can show photocrosslink,photopolymerization, or photochromicity under UV irradiation. The new photochromic polymer(P1) is composed of spiropyran, valeric acid moiety and epoxy which act as a photochrome and polymer backbone. The absorption spectral change of polymer during uv irradition. The photo and thermostability of merocyanine dye resulted from uv irradiation was evaluated in different structure of polymers. The kinetic behaviors for the photochromism of the synthesized was measured to evaluate the photostability ,which was considered as the effect of steric hindrance and polarity of the medium. |
