제목 Stabilization of lithium metal electrode for energy-dense battery design
초록 Recently, with the growing demand for rechargeable batteries with a higher energy density for electric vehicles and utility grid applications, next-generation lithium metal batteries, including lithium-oxygen and lithium-sulfur batteries, have received considerable attention and have technologically evolved over the past few years. However, the practical application of Li metal anodes is still limited to primary batteries because of the uncontrollable dendritic Li growth and severe surface degradation caused by the highly reactive nature of Li. In this presentation, the lithium metal electrode stabilization techniques developed in our lab will be reported and key underlying physics be discussed.
