A Study of Improvement in Wastewater Treatment System Using Magnetic Ion Exchange |

Ion exchange resin is a polymer composed of three-dimensional structure on the gas (functional group). It is combined with as polar, non-polar nature in the solution. The nature made impurities matter catch using dissolved in the ionic exchange or purified by polymer material. Magnetic ion exchange resins were used to improve the wastewater treatment processes. It is for this reason that a bioreactor process does not remove from the denitrification of nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen but magnetic ion exchange could reject through an anion exchange reaction. Also, magnetic ion exchange resin could be regenerated and continuously reproduced which can be used permanently. The novel wastewater treatment process was designed including ion exchange resin process. As a result of the pilot scale study, the common wastewater treatment facilities did not eliminate of nitrate but could be removed in novel process. It wasn’t significantly affected on the existing wastewater treatment process. An additional simple application of existing facilities made a large effect whole treatment process in term of removal efficiency. |
