Aromatic polyimides (PIs) are representative high-performance materials because of their excellent thermal stability in addition to good electrical and mechanical properties, light weight, and flexibility. However, one of the great disadvantages of the aromatic PI films for optical application is their yellowish nature due to the intra- and/or intermolecular charge transfer complex (CTC) formation. Fluorinated PI, such as 6FDA/TFDB PI prepared from 4,4’-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride (6FDA) and 2,2’-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,4’-diaminophenyl (TFDB), exhibits high transparency in the visible region, colorlessness, low dielectric constant, and good solubility to polar organic solvents. In this study, we prepared polyimide/hydrotalcite nanocomposite films using fluorinated FPI and modified hydrotalcites(m-HT). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and etc. were used to characterize FPI/m-HT nanocomposite films. |
