제목 Adsorption Followed by Photocatalytic Decomposition of Microcystin-LR With TiO2/Activated Carbon
초록 TiO2 was impregnated onto the surface of the granular activated carbon through the the modified sol-gel method. Finely dispersed TiO2particles were mainly located at the exterior surface in the vicinity of the entrances of macropores of the activated carbon. TiO2 particles could decompose large microcystin-LR molecules into smaller intermediate ones photocatalytically, and the activated carbon provided the sites for adsorption of both microcystin-LR and intermediates. By combining the roles of TiO2 photocatalysis and activated carbon adsorption together, the TiO2 impregnated activated carbon showed the promoted performances for the removal of both microcystin-LR and TOC from water.
