제목 Room-temperature self-healing of thermoplastic polyurethanes containing aromatic disulfides
초록 Self-healable thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) with bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)disulfide as an extender were synthesized by a pre-polymer method. Aromatic disulfides undergo efficient sulfur-sulfur exchange at room-temperature. To check the hard-segment effect of TPUs, we investigated four different molecular structures of diisocyanates. The mechanical and self-healing properties of TPU films were evaluated by a scratch recovery and tensile tests. As a result, TPU based on isophorone diisocyanate embedding aromatic disulfide was the most effective self-healing properties at room-temperature while preserving the remarkable mechanical properties.
