Among the various electrocatalysts for zinc air batteries, the layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are decent material for OER, due to its 2D lamellar structure and uniformly distributed active sites. But, the utilization of LDHs directly to RZAB could be impossible, because of its poor activity for ORR and poor electrical conductivity, long-term instability originated from particle aggregation. The as-prepared NiCoCr LDH/N-rGO exhibits a favorable OER and ORR catalytic activity and its total overpotential for OER and ORR is comparable to nobel metal based catalysts. The origin of these superior activity of our NiCoCr LDH/N-rGO material is ascribed to increased oxygen defects and structural disorder that could be an active site for OER and ORR and also be helpful to mass transfer during electrochemical reaction. According to above electrochemical results, NiCoCr LDH/N-rGO shows better RZAB performance such as rate capability and cycle stability than Pt/C+RuO2 and NiCo LDH/N-rGO. |
