Temperature dependent Polarization response of lead-free (Na,K)(Nb,Ta)O3 ceramics |

In the past two decades, to replace lead-based piezoelectric materials, many lead-free candidate materials were studied. Among them, (Na0.5K0.5)NbO3 based ceramics are considered most promising candidate materials for lead-free piezoelectric and ferroelectric applications. Ta modified NKN ceramics show high piezoelectric constants at morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) and polymorphic phase transition (PPT). However, NKNT ceramics have the problem that cannot make the high density ceramics due to volatility of A-site ions during the sintering process. To solve this problem, recently, we studied the A-site non stoichiometry effects of NKNT ceramics, which show enhanced piezoelectric and dielectric properties with d33=340pC/N. In this study, we studied the ferroelectric response at different temperatures and fields to further investigate the polarization properties of NKNT ceramics. |
