제목 Crystallization of metastable form of a pharmaceutical ingredient in solution
초록 Many compounds can be crystallized in distinct crystal forms which exhibit different properties, especially in pharmaceuticals crystallization. Pharmaceutical development of metastable forms is often desired because of their enhanced biopharmaceutical properties as a result of higher solubilities and faster dissolution rate1.  
In this research, metastable form selection of an active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) chosen as a dosage form was considered as the first priority in solution crystallization. The effect of supersaturation level on polymorphs was also studied to achieve selectively the metastable form. Moreover, crystal characteristics of the API were exhibited by using some techniques such as optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
