Blue TiO2 Electrode for the Portable Electrolyzed Water Generator as the Appropriate Technology |
초록 |
Providing the drinking water is the important issue especially in the developing countries. To disinfect the drinking water for the community in developing countries, the portable electrolyzed water generator was developed which produces the chlorine from the salt water. The portable electrolyzed water generator uses the Dimensionally Stable Anode (DSA), which is efficient for chlorine production but high cost material. The Blue TiO2 was recently developed and generated the comparable amount of chlorine with DSA by using the cost effective material. In this study, the Blue TiO2 was applied to the portable electrolyzed water generator to reduce the electrode cost and to evaluate the feasibility of Blue TiO2 as the appropriate technology. Produced chlorine concentration with Blue TiO2 was measured and compared to that of DSA. And the optimum operation condition of portable electrolyzed water generator with Blue TiO2 was suggested to disinfect the drinking water of community in developing countries. |
