제목 Synthesis and thermoelectric properties of quaternary sulfosalt AgPbBiS3
초록  Quaternary chalcogenide AgPbBiS3, a member of sulfosalt minerals, appears to be promising for thermoelectric applications due to its complex chemical composition and high symmetry of cubic structure. However, its pure synthesis and thermoelectric properties have not been studied.  
 In this presentation, we report the pure synthesis of AgPbBiS3 by high-temperature solid-state reaction, its structural chemistry, spectroscopic analyses, and thermoelectric properties. AgPbBiS3 crystallizes in the rock-salt structure. Ag, Pb, and Bi atoms are disordered randomly in the cationic site and S atom is located at the anionic site. This structural characteristic results in the remarkably low thermal conductivity of ~0.67W/mK. It is an n-type semiconductor with a relatively low energy band gap at 0.74 eV. Dense pellets of spark plasma sintered AgPbBiS3 show maximum thermoelectric figure of merit ZT of 0.36 at 823K.
