Recently, binding mechanisms for the formation of the Self-assembly Monolayer (SAM) can be derived from specific intermolecular interactions, such as bio-inspired mechanisms. In this study, prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) protein was self-assembled on silicon substrate. The capacitor type memory effect was examined by using pentacene and dielectric SiO2 layer intervened by the PSMA protein layer. PSMA protein could be immobilized onto the SiO2 by formation of Carboxyl group, chemical modification by 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-carbodiimide (EDC) and N-hydroxy-succinimide (NHS). Capacitance-voltage (C-V) show small hysteresis was characterized and electrostatic force microscopy (EFM) analysis of the device was discussed. |
