| 제목 | Silica aerogel encapsulate with polystyrene shellfor building envelope application |
| 초록 | Despiteremarkable properties of the silica aerogel the compatibility of silica aerogelwith polymeric materials is major issue in the building construction sector. Toovercome this issue, we adopted the silica aerogel encapsulated withpolystyrene approach for the improved thermal insulation properties. Thesynthesized encapsulated silica aerogel were characterized by scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) which exhibitedsuccessfully encapsulate with polystyrene shell. We controlled the polystyrene shellthickness and its uniform coating in order to maintain its compatibility towardssilica aerogel. |
