Sensing and interfacial evaluation of Ni nanowire strands/polymer composites were investigated using electro-micromechanical technique. This technique can be used as sensing method for micro-damage, loading, temperature, and interfacial properties. The mechanical and electrical properties of Ni with different diameter/epoxy composites were measured using uniformed cyclic loading, electro pull-out test and tensile test. Using Ni/silicone composites with different content, load sensing response was investigated under tension and compression condition. Ni/epoxy composites showed humidity and temperature sensing with 20 vol%. New information on temperature and humidity sensing plus loading sensing using Ni/polymer composites could be obtained by the electrical resistance measurement.
