제목 Conductive Fibers with Buckling Surface Structure and Its Application for Hydrogen Sensor
초록 Recently, flexible and stretchable conductive fibers are spotlighted in various fields such as wearable devices and sensor systems. Our research team had developed fiber-based sensors which can detect mechanical stimuli with Ag nanoparticles embedded conductive stretchable fibers. These fiber-based sensors had advantage of being durable, however, since the polymer has viscoelastic properties, it still has a disadvantage of poor restoration and inhibits electrical conductivity.
Herein, we fabricated a metal based buckled structure on the surface of stretchable conductive fiber by using simple pre-straining method. The disadvantages of polymer structure were compensated by forming the metal based buckled shell on the surface of the conductive fiber. Furthermore, the Pd buckled shell structured fiber could be used as a strain-stable hydrogen sensor with its large and stationary contact between hydrogen gas. In the future, this study is expected to be able to fabricate various sensors with high accuracy based on stable structure against pressure and strain.
