Green house technologies have developed. In this research, we aim to develop a new of optical thin film capable of the growing plants while reducing the rising temperature in green house and enhance permeation of specific wavelength light for plant growth. For this purpose, zinc oxide and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) having different refractive index were formed on the glass slide substrate by the radio frequency (R. F) sputtering method to form an optical thin film1-4). As the result of measuring the transmittance of the optical thin film, it was possible to suppress the infrared light, which affects rising temperature, while increase the visible light transmittance from 400 nm to 650 nm wavelength which is indispensable for the plant growth. When the constructed optical thin film is applied to a simple greenhouse and the plant growth, the plants, which grows in the green house using optical thin films, showed the fastest growing. From these results, we found that this optical thin film can apply for plant growth films suppressing the temperature in the green house. We also have investigated new optical thin film for plant growth. |
