제목 Low-Bandgap Polymers for Efficient Photo-Voltaic Cells
초록 Polymer bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells have attracted signicant attention because of their potential for achieving large area, exible photovoltaic devices through low-cost solution deposition techniques. Many recent efforts have focused on the development of low band-gap donor polymers that have broad absorption spectra. New understanding in organic synthesis as well as organic electronics established the possible utilization of a variety of fascinating small molecules as building blocks for conjugated low-bandgap polymers. Most high-performance polymers reported so far rely on thiophene or thiophene-based heterocycles. Utilizing the recent knowledge in the synthesis of conjugated low-bandgap polymers, a series of polymers containing diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) units have been designed and synthesized. They exhibited nearly identical optical and electronic properties and demonstrated comparatively high power conversion efficiencies in BHJ devices.
