제목 | Application of HMOPs-deposited dynamic membrane to reduce the organic fouling of membrane |
초록 | To solve water shortage problem, membrane process became one of the indispensable process for water treatment. Although membrane process has high efficiency and reliability on water quality, membrane fouling is inevitable problem. A major cause of membrane fouling at surface water treatment is natural organic matters (NOMs). Previous studies suggested formation of dynamic membrane (DM) which adapted adsorbent on membrane surface significantly reduce membrane fouling1), thereby increasing in the life-span of membrane2). In this study, the heated metal oxide particles (HMOPs) are used as adsorbents which form DM. The change in process performance was investigated with various HMOPs (i.e., heated aluminum oxide particle (HAOP) and heated iron oxide particle (HIOP). In particular, the effect of particle size on fouling reduction was evaluated. In conclusion, the optimal condition for DM formation was confirmed through the performance test of membrane process and fouling reduction. |
