제목 Culture medium optimization for enhancement of C. ljungdahlii and C. autoethanogenum growth and bioethanol production
초록 Researches are actively underway to convert organic waste and biomass into bioenergy using biological conversion technology. In addition, biocatalysts(algae, microalgae, bacteria, etc.) for conversion of carbon dioxide into bioenergy have been actively studied for the reduction of carbon dioxide. Gasification of organic wastes(urban organic waste, waste vinyl, waste plastics, etc.) and biomass(wood pellets, wood chips, etc.) is used to produce syngas, and study on biological processes for producing bioenergy(bioethanol, biobutanol, hydrogen, etc.) through a microbial culture process using syngas as a raw material is attracting attention.
In this study, optimum culture system is developed for maximum ethanol production as analysis of microbial growth and ethanol productivity according to medium composition and culture conditions. So fed-batch system was developed and syngas was only supplied as a carbon source.
