제목 Thermo-sensitive Hydrogel based on Interpenetrating Polymer Network of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) and Polyurethane
초록 Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) shows a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) at 32°C in aqueous solution. The thermo-responsive behavior of PNIPAM was extensively investigated and modeled by different researchers.
In this study, a series of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPN) of vinyl terminated polyurethane (VTPU) and PNIPAM were prepared by free radical polymerization. VTPU has been synthesized from HDI, PTMG1000, DMBA, 1,4-BD, and HEA and was subsequently dispersed in water. The effects of PU/NIPAM composition and crosslink density have been studied in terms of dynamic mechanical thermal properties (DMTA), particle sizer (PCS), mechanical properties (UTM), equilibrium swelling ratio, dynamic swelling ratio and dynamic deswelling ratio at various temperatures.
