제목 Synergistic effect on Antioxidant activity of Ethanol Organosolv Lignin and Myricetin Mixture
초록 Although flavonoids are powerful antioxidants, they are too expensive to use. Lignin, one of the major component of biomass, is produced as a by-product and it has antioxidant activity. Three kinds of ethanol organosolv lignins (EOLs) were obtained from sweet sorghum bagasse (SSB) depending on extraction conditions (EOL-H, M and L). EOL produced under harsher condition contains more phenolic-OH and EOL-H showed remarkable antioxidant activity, though myricetin was much stronger than all EOLs. When each EOL was mixed with myricetin, the synergistic effect arose in certain mixing ratio and EOL-H had wider range of ratio than EOL-M and L. Considering these properties, it seems that EOL has the potential of being used as a co-antioxidant.
