This research is to investigate an innovative new technology for wastewater using a combined process of biologically active powdered carbon and microfiltration(BAPC-MF). The continuous flow bench scale BAPC-MF system studies were conducted for the treatment of wastewater. It was demonstrated that the BAPC-MF system has several advantages compared to conventional treatment process in terms of efficiency and operational costs. The BAPC-MF system was optimized regard to several parameters including membrane flux rate, permeate quality, carbon concentration, temperature, sludge age and biomass concentration . |
