Bioactive glass-modified halloysite nanotubesreinforced hybrid hydrogels for hard tissue regeneration |
초록 |
Bone defects caused by fractures or diseases areserious clinical challenges because of they fail to heal naturally and need abiomaterial-based scaffold to enable bone regeneration. The search fordeveloping an appropriate scaffold for bone regeneration is still unaccomplished.Hydrogel as three-dimensional (3D) polymeric-network may provide a suitable 3Dmicroenvironment for the regeneration of damaged bone tissues. However, the useof hydrogels in bone tissue regeneration is restricted due to their lowmechanical properties as well as imperfect angiogenic-osteogenic events, posingchallenges in designing efficient hydrogels with strong mechanical attributeand adequate bioactivity. In our study, we synthesized polyacrylamide-basedhydrogels by involving polysaccharides and bioactive glass-modified halloysitenanotubes. As-obtained hydrogels showed enhanced mechanical properties, in vitro bioactivity(i.e. apatite formation) and satisfactory in vitro cellularresponse. |
