Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) sensor, which is a core part of an autonomous vehicles (AVs), collects information by detecting a signal reflected from target object. The wavelength used most of the LiDAR syetem is λ=905 nm. In the case of black pigment of ordinary vehicles, it is not suitable to adopt as paints for AVs. The reason is that carbon based pigments absorbs all the light not only visible but also near-infrared (NIR). Here, we propose a oxide based multilayer for black pigment to strongly reflect the light of λ=905 nm. The suggested multilayer consists of stacked layers with five or more. Each layer is based on oxide material such as Fe2O3 or SiO2. The designed structure performed reflectance of 70%. By adjusting number and thickness of multilayer, we established a condition can be manipulated the reflective wavelengths. The results are important in terms of implementing the various black tones only with 1-dimension structure. We expect it can be functionalized pigment utilizing designed structure. |
