In this work, a rational constructionof silica-based nanoarchitecture composed of dendritic fibrous silica as theouter layer and water glass-based synthetic nanosilica (WNS) prepared from ricehusk as the inner part (named as WNS@DFSL) was reported. Dendritic fibroussilica nanolayers (DFSLs) substantially enhanced porosity, surface area, andchannel size of the WNS. Moreover, the obtained WNS@DFSL acted as an efficienttemplate for incorporating other active components, namely zinc-basedmetal-organic framework (so called zeolitic imidazolate framework, ZIF-8) andzinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles, which were converted from ZIF-8. The currentsynthetic strategy can be employed for the construction of hierarchical poroussilica-based nanoarchitectures, facilitating the industrial use of eco-friendlymaterials. |
