제목 Evaporation Rate of a Heavy Drop on a Solid Substrate with Height
초록 Evaporation is a common phenomenon that occurs in everyday life. However, there is not enough data on evaporation rate of a heavy drop. Most former studies were done on evaporation of a small sessile drop, and more systematic approach of evaporation rate for large drop is insufficient. In this study, evaporation rate of viscous liquid on a solid substrate was observed through CCD laser and camera to measure height, shape of liquid front upon dewetting and receding velocity of contact line. We designed a model that depicts the correlation of the wetted area on xy plane and height reduction of the drop. From the results, it is expected to predict and help understand evaporation and dewetting occurring at general surfaces in industry.
