Carbazole-triazine derivative are promising dopants for Thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) organic light-emitting diodes, including those containing highly twisted donor–acceptor-donor structures. Novel donor-acceptor-donor compounds, 9,9'-(2-(4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-1,3-phenylene)bis(9H-carbazole) (2Cz-Trz), 9,9'-(2-(4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-1,3-phenylene)bis(3,6-dimethyl-9H-carbazole) (2MCz-Trz), were designed and synthesized as sky-blue dopant materials. A basic device configuration of indium tin oxide (ITO, 50 nm) / N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis[4-(phenyl-m-tolyl-amino)phenyl]-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (DNTPD, 60 nm) / 4,4’cyclohexylidenebis[N,N-bis(4-methylphenyl)benzenamine] (TAPC, 20 nm) / 1,3-bis(N-carbazolyl)benzene (mCP, 10 nm) / bis[2-(diphenylphosphino)phenyl]ether oxide (DPEPO):dopant (25 nm, x%) / diphenyl-4-triphenylsilylphenylphosphine oxide (TSPO1, 5 nm) / 1,3,5-tris(N-phenylbenzimiazole-2-yl)benzene (TPBi, 30 nm) / LiF (1 nm) / Al (200 nm) was used for device fabrication. |
