초록 | Chemical process optimization often leads to large and nonconvex NLP (Nonlinear Programming) problems that have many nonlinear equality constraints. Since the globaloptimization of a nonconvex NLP problem is an NP-hard problem, large problems cannotbe solved in a reasonable time span if we rely solely on deterministic algorithms whichare theoretically guaranteed to find the global optimum. Stochastic algorithms, which donot guarantee the global optimality of the obtained solution, are suitable for largeproblems, but not efficient when there exist too many equality constraints. Therefore, anew stochastic algorithm is proposed in this paper, which is suitable for globaloptimization of chemical processes. |
